Automations in Snowflake CoWork are now generally available. An automation turns a one-time report into a recurring one: Snowflake CoWork re-runs your question with fresh data on the schedule you choose and emails you the results, including a summary and key metrics, along with a link that opens the full report so you can ask follow-up questions.

External secret providers (Preview)

External secret providers are now in preview. If your organization already keeps API keys, database passwords, and similar values in AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, or Google Cloud Secret Manager, Snowflake can read those values when a query needs them, so you don't have to maintain a second copy in a Snowflake secret .

Previously, creating tables and writing to tables in nested namespaces wasn't supported for any remote catalog.

Add and drop hybrid table constraints online (General availability)

With this release, you can add and drop UNIQUE and FOREIGN KEY constraints on an existing hybrid table by using alter table . Previously, you had to define these constraints when you created the table, so adding a foreign key to a table that was already serving a workload meant recreating and reloading the table.

Shadow traffic for gateways (Preview)

With this preview release, you can use a shadow traffic gateway to send all production requests to a primary service endpoint while mirroring a percentage of those requests to one or more shadow endpoints. Responses from shadow endpoints aren't returned to clients.
