How Changefeed works
Changefeed reads the release notes of 27 data and AI companies every night and puts what they shipped in one place.
- What is Changefeed?
- Changefeed is a data and AI release tracker: one feed of the new features, previews, general availability launches, pricing changes and deprecations that data and AI companies publish in their release notes. It covers Snowflake, Databricks, Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, dbt Labs, Fivetran, Confluent, MongoDB and more.
- Where does the data come from?
- From each vendor's own release notes, changelog or RSS feed, read every night. Every release links to the vendor page it came from. Feeds and changelogs are parsed directly; a language model only rewrites titles into plain summaries and reads the few changelog pages that have no feed.
- How do I see what is new in Snowflake or Databricks this month?
- Open the company page, for example Snowflake or Databricks: it starts with what shipped this month, grouped by product, and links to every earlier month (for example "Snowflake new features in September 2026").
- What do GA, preview and beta mean?
- GA (generally available) means supported for production use. Preview (public or private) and beta mean available to try but still subject to change. Deprecation marks a feature or model being retired, and pricing marks a price, plan or quota change.
- What does the Unverified badge mean?
- Releases added by the nightly collector show an Unverified badge until they have been checked by hand. The source link is always the vendor's own page, so you can confirm any entry yourself.
- Is there an RSS feed?
- Yes. /rss.xml carries every new release, and each company has its own feed, for example /companies/snowflake/rss.xml. You can also subscribe to a daily email digest that only arrives on days with new releases.
